I am really looking forward to photographing Denise and Matt’s wedding next month. My assistant/second shooter Cheryll and I met the beautiful couple and their adorable boys at Matt’s favorite park, which had a stunning view of San Francisco and plenty of room for the little ones to run around!

Heartfelt congratulations to two of my friends from kyudo (Japanese archery) who got married last month at the Dance Palace in Marin. It was an honor to photograph their wedding, and I wish them the very best as they take off across the country to start a new life together!
The wedding party.
Mato, yumi and ya--a rare sight at weddings! Lucy, our instructor helps put away the kyudo equipment at the end of the reception.

Last month I photographed a doljanchi, a Korean tradition celebrating a baby’s first birthday. The birthday boy was adorable, as were his friends, so this post is dedicated to babies and festivities!
Happy birthday, Caden!

Last night, I was shooting the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble again–it was the last concert of their ’09-’10 season, and a really great performance. I was given the sweetest little thank you gift, so I have to share it here…
Hohner Little Lady harmonica necklace
So cute.
And it will be a perfect addition to the Banjukuzoo, the banjo/ukulele/kazoo band my friend Lisa and I have. I’m the ukulele and kazoo. I like small instruments. 😉

Personalized cake toppers, adorable!
Gunther and Vivien got married on Sunday at the UC Berkeley Faculty Club. The honorable guest… was Oski the Bear of course! It was wonderful to shoot a wedding at my alma mater, and for such a grr-reat couple too!
Wait, she's bear territory?

Getting my gear together to shoot Brian and Jenn’s wedding. They are an adorable couple, as you can probably tell, and if their homemade giant Jenga set and power tool engagement session is any indication, this wedding should be a blast.
The power (tools) of love...
