Hasselblad scans: Alison

Alison, of course. Ballet shot taken with Fuji Neopan Acros 100 film. Stripe photos with Ilford FP4 Plus 125 and Delta Pro 100.

At the end of December, my friend Umi and I went to Urban Ore in Berkeley to pick up some chandeliers (long story). She was dressed in some fabulous items she’d picked up on a recent trip to Japan, so I couldn’t resist getting some photos with the Hasselblad 503cx and some Kodak Portra 160NC.

Hasselblad scans: Sasha

You might remember this model, Sasha Beach, from this post. She came by last month to help me test one of the Hasselblads. These were taken with the 503cx and a Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 lens. First 2 shots are on Ilford Delta Pro 100 and the last 2 with Fuji Neopan Acros 100.

I admit, I love the light leak in the lower right corner, over the sneaker.

It's been a long day. (Stella & Frances)

I am borrowing 2 Hasselblads from a friend, and I am totally in love. Slowly scanning from prints, with bits of wonderful lost in the process, but at least you get some idea. More to come this week.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Alison, again

One of my very favorite models, Alison Dearest came by last week to play with a Hasselblad I’m currently borrowing. While we wait for the film to develop, here are some shots we took the new-fangled digital way…

She is such a muse, I decided she needed her own tag.

Michael and Juliana

January 23, 2010

Congratulations to Juliana and Mike, whose wedding I had the pleasure to shoot last Saturday. The ceremony took place at the UC Botanical Gardens in Berkeley, and despite a forecast of rain, we found some nice little moments of sun.

Crossroads 2009

My photo of Shelbee on the left got an honorable mention in Crossroad’s 2009 fashion photo contest. The nice folks at Crossroads sent 2 copies of the winners book, which is full of great entries. I love to see what other people are shooting and styling. Going to plan ahead for the 2010 contest!
