Had a wonderful little portrait session over the weekend. Hit the jump for some adorable family fun. Continue Reading »

It’s family portrait season, and I think it’s important to remember that families come in all shapes and sizes. Lance and Rosie are a wonderfully devoted pair…

Going to try to post more, but things are busy here, so expect random shots without much explanation. Here’s a fairly recent one of model Alison, who is always inspiring.

Busy week, but here’s a quick shot of one of my friends through costuming, Tony. We went to Mori Point last Friday and got some photos of his gorgeous peacock feather cloak.

I’ve been wanting to go to this event for the last 3 years. This time, we planned in advance, my friends Katie and Cary drove up from Irvine, and we headed over to the Dunsmuir Estate with a picnic hamper, basket, rug, 2 cameras and 2 ukuleles.
This is just a small preview. The rest of the photos (minus 2 undeveloped rolls of film which I’ll scan and add later) are up in this Flickr set, as some of the horizontal shots looked too squished here with a maximum width of 500 pixels.

I’m photographing the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble for their 2009-2010 season. They do two performances for each program, one at The Green Room of the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House, and one in Mill Valley at the Throckmorton Theatre. I caught the very first performance of the season on Monday, where four very talented musicians took on Asian and Eastern European composers including Prokofiev and Ravi Shankar–not a combination I expected to hear in concert!

An engagement shoot for 2 people I like very much.

"...with my wee head upon your knee"
Katie and Cary came up from Irvine last weekend, and among other things, we took some engagement photos. I shot a roll of film as well, so there will most likely be a part 2 at some point. Their wedding next summer will involve fancy hats. That should be mentioned.
